Jon Rania serves as Director of Music and Communications. He is the primary organist for the parish and is the music resource for all liturgical functions at both All Saints’ Church and St. George’s Chapel, including weddings, funerals and other special events. As Director of Communications, Jon is responsible for oversight of our advertising, social media, livestream broadcasting, media relations, and more.
A long-time church musician, Jon marks over forty-five years as a professional church musician. This is Jon's second time on staff at All Saints' & St. George's. Jon first came to us as assistant organist and choir director in the fall of 2002 and served on staff until June of 2007. Rejoining the staff in February 2022.
Jon began music studies when he was just six years old. He is a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts. He attended Immaculata (then College) University in the Sacred Music degree program. Jon served many churches in the Philadelphia and South Jersey areas. He also served the Diocese of Camden (NJ) as Diocesan Director of Music and Music Director of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Camden, NJ for seven years from 1994 to 2001 just prior to relocating here to Rehoboth year-round in the fall of 2001.
Jon and his husband Rob have been parishioners of All Saints' Church and St. George’s Chapel since 2002 and have two boys, Kenny and Evan, both of whom were raised in the faith here having been Baptized, completing all levels of Sunday School, confirmed and as acolytes. He looks forward to building the music program in new and innovative ways.
