The Rev. Celeste O. Cox  serves as Priest Associate at the Parish of All Saints’ Church and St. George’s Chapel. Previously she was the Priest-in-Residence at St. Anne’s, Middletown, 2015-23, and Rector of Christ Church, Dover, 1999-2013. Celeste arrived in Delaware from Florida where she served as Episcopal Chaplain, University of Miami Medical Center, and as Associate for Pastoral Ministry & Spiritual Formation at Bethesda-by-the-Sea, Palm Beach. In Delaware she has served as chair of the Commission on Ministry and president of the Standing Committee.

 

Prior to ordained ministry, Celeste worked in public relations at St. Mary Medical Center, West Palm Beach. She earned an M.A. in Theology from St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary, Boynton Beach, and an S.T.M. (Master, Sacred Theology) from General Seminary, New York. She has particular interest in the biblical foundations of pastoral theology, in artistic expressions of Jesus’ teachings, and in various contemplative prayer practices. Celeste is a clinically trained, board-certified chaplain (retired status, Association of Professional Chaplains).

 

Celeste’s husband Lou is a member of the All Saints and St. George’s Choirs. He also plays oboe and English horn in Sodelo (Southern Delaware Orchestra). Both feel blessed to be part of the vibrant Parish of All Saints Church and St. George’s Chapel.
